Materials to International Research-to-Practice Conference «Zaporizhzhia modernism and Bauhaus school: universality of phenomena. Problems of preserving modernist heritage»

 

The goal of “Bauhaus - Zaporizhzhia” project is to draw attention of the
public, Ukrainian and international experts and authorities to the problem
of preserving objects of the interwar modernism in Ukraine. The project is
a part of ‘German Weeks in Ukraine-2017’ series of events.

“Bauhaus - Zaporizhzhia” project is organized by Consulate General of
the Federal Republic of Germany in Donetsk (offi ce in Dnipro) in partnership
with the NGO Urban Forms Center, Barannik contemporary art
gallery and Professor Thomas Flierl (Germany).

We express our thanks to the Central State Cine Photo Phono Archives
named after H.S. Pshenychnyi and specifi cally to its director Vladyslav
Georgiyovych Berkovskly for the furnished materials. We are also thankful
to Zaporizhzhia Regional Lore Museum, Zaporizhzhia Regional Universal
Scientific Library, and State Archive of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The
catalogue includes materials from the book entitled ‘Walter Gropius’.
